A warning concerning these short stories. All three were written in haste. The contests for which they were written were monthly contests. I usually found out late and I know the last two were written in less than a week. The first, The Demon-Warrior and the Blacksmith's Daughter was written in two weeks. They aren't the best writing I've done, but they were fun to put together in such a short time.

The Demon-Warrior and the Blacksmith's Daughter

This short story was written for the May 2004 contest on Fantasy-Writers.org web site.  Second Place sounds impressive except there wasn't very many entries.  The rules were simple, the title was given and you had to write between 500-25,000 words around the title.

Of Dreams and Wishes

This short story was written for the June 2004 contest on Fantasy-Writers.org web site. The rules for this story were the same as above except this time it was supposed to be about someone who discovers they have magical powers in our current world.

Morningstar

This story was written for the August 2004 contest on Fantasy-Writers.org web site. Same rules and this time the story is a role reversal about a damsel and a knight.
