Coat of Arms

Here are two different coat of arms, supposedly for the Ham(m)on(d)(s) family.  The first one I found while surfing the Internet and is the only one that I have found.  The other, my father gave me a long time ago from a place in Bath, Ohio.  Either one correct?  Neither?  Most likely ... neither.  Coats of Arms were reserved for people of stature and not available to the everyday Joe.  The only way to find out is to trace our lineage as far back as possible for there is a registry in England where you can see if any relative is actually registered with a coat of arms.  Notice the name on both is spelled as Hammons: that is because when they were ordered they put your particular spelling on the paper. If you spelled it "Hamon" that is how it would have appeared on the Coat of Arms.  Not everyone was allowed to have a Coat of Arms, so the chances that one of these really do belong to us is ... rare.  I show them just for fun.  Beware, these are actual full-size scans.  Note: I recently found a description of the 2nd one below while searching for our English ancestors and it appears that the individual with that Coat of Arms is not related.
